Dear Family and Friends,
It is with great joy I share this letter with you as your new pastor! One of life’s most beautiful words is family. Scripture teaches us that we are the family of God and therefore brothers and sisters in Christ. As a “family of faith,” we shall seek to worship and serve God, share the good news of the gospel message, and provide the spiritual environment necessary for the believer’s spiritual growth. It is my hope and prayer, then, that we become strong in our faith and grow s a family in the months, and years to come!
Truly this new season has reminded us that the story of our family is similar to that of Jesus’. Specifically his birth, death, and resurrection. It is a good story in which to find ourselves, particularly since this is a new season. Suffice to say, then, we presently find ourselves in the middle, the action of transformation and sanctification. As such, we may experience unsettled nerves, but just as Advent casts our vision toward Christmas, and Christmas toward Easter, let us set our eyes on our baptism - that is to say, our dying in Christ and our subsequent resurrection with Him. Let us, then, be a people of vision, and fear not. Let us be a family of one mind, faith, and hope for the glory of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
I pray you are just as excited as I am about this new season together! As I have learned throughout my journey with God, when He creates and establishes order, great things happen! Without a doubt, then, I am confident that this new beginning will bring with it an exciting, and bold adventure into the redemptive story of Christ; into the imagination of what only God can do in and through us! May we indeed be bold, and faithful in all our new adventures!
Yours in the journey,
Pastor Timothy
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and the basis for our beliefs. This church subscribes to doctrinal statement of "The Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention of 1963. We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the church are believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper.
